Alex and Chelsea, plotholders at the Sarisbury Green Allotment Site, are growing their own loofah sponges!
Only young at the moment but follow the link above to see what they will look like when fully grown.
Here's what they looked like in May.
Alex says: "Unfortunately, despite the loofas growing over 6ft tall, the strange weather conditions meant they had to stay at home. Having now been transferred to the allotment we think they have died. Nevertheless we have a plan for next year and hope we will get some loofas for our efforts.
"Hope we have more luck growing watermelons"!
